Tap Save Parking when you park to remember your spot. Add a floor, zone, or spot number for indoor garages, and optionally attach a photo or set a timer. Your active parking session syncs automatically to your Apple Watch.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find my way back to my car?
Open the app and tap Walk to Car to get walking directions through Apple Maps from your current location.
How does the parking timer work?
Choose a preset or set a custom time when you save your spot. CarPin sends a reminder before the timer runs out so you can avoid tickets or towing.
Does CarPin work on Apple Watch?
Yes. Your parked car, its timer, and your distance back to it are all available on Apple Watch, including a watch face complication.
What does Auto Detect do?
Auto Detect (Beta) can suggest that you may have just parked based on motion. It never saves a parking session on its own — you always confirm before anything is saved.
What is Smart Leaving Alert?
An optional alert that can notice when you’ve left the area where your car is parked. It’s off by default and only requests Always Location access if you turn it on.
Is my parking data private?
Yes. CarPin has no account and no server — your parking locations, history, and photos stay on your iPhone and Apple Watch. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Troubleshooting
My Apple Watch isn’t showing my parked car
Make sure both devices are unlocked, near each other, and paired via the Watch app at least once with CarPin installed on the Watch. Reopening the iPhone app resends the current session to your Watch.
The complication isn’t updating
Widget complications refresh on their own schedule set by watchOS. Opening the CarPin Watch app forces an immediate refresh.
I’m not getting timer or leaving-alert notifications
Check that Notifications are allowed for CarPin in your iPhone’s Settings, and that Leaving Alert is turned on in the app’s settings if you want that reminder.
Trial & purchases
CarPin includes a free 7-day trial with no payment method required, and a one-time purchase to unlock the app permanently. There are no subscriptions. Even without the trial or unlock, you can always view and navigate back to your currently parked car.
Purchases are handled by Apple. To restore a previous purchase, open CarPin’s settings and use Restore Purchase, or contact us below if you run into trouble.
